Privacy and Feedback

Locus core workspaces operate locally and offline. They require no account, analytics, telemetry, background documentation request, or cloud service.

Project content stays local unless you share it

Locus does not automatically transmit Notes, Pins, Documents, asset references, map information, project source code, logs, attachments, project names, project paths, machine or operating-system user names, or source-control user names.

Shared project files can be transmitted by your team’s source-control system when you submit them. That is part of the configured provider workflow, not Locus telemetry. Private Notes and Pins never contact the provider.

External websites

Locus uses the operating system’s default browser for an external page. It does not embed a browser or WebView. An external page receives a request only after you explicitly choose an action that opens it; Locus performs no background documentation request.

Locus provides Give Feedback, which opens https://feedback.pullsar.dev. MCP Integration also includes a Documentation button for opening Locus documentation.

Optional local MCP access

When you explicitly enable MCP Integration, a compatible client on the same machine can receive supported Locus content or request supported changes according to the permissions you select. Locus keeps the endpoint local and does not upload content itself, but the client controls how it handles any content it receives. Review that client’s privacy settings and treat its copied Locus configuration as sensitive. Do not place the copied credential in source control, screenshots, issue reports, documentation, or chat messages. Locus produces credential-bearing text only through the explicit Copy Configuration action and does not intentionally display the credential in Settings or emit it in logs. Feedback metadata

When you intentionally open Give Feedback, the browser URL can include:

• product identifier and display name
• plugin version
• Unreal Engine version
• platform
• active locale
• plugin as the launch source

It does not include the project-content or identity fields listed above. Opening the website is not the same as submitting its form. You decide whether to enter and submit additional information, and the external feedback site’s own privacy and retention terms govern that submission.

Documentation language preference

The documentation website stores a manually selected language in browser local storage under the PullsarDocs-owned key pullsarDocs.documentationLanguage. It stores only a normalized locale identifier, uses no cookie, sends no preference to a server, and adds no analytics or telemetry. Clear the site’s local storage in the browser to remove it.

The preference affects only supported product landing pages. A directly opened nested documentation link remains on that exact language route.

Launch failures

If the operating system cannot open a feedback or documentation URL, the failure notification is non-destructive. Configure a default HTTP/HTTPS browser and try again. No project data is changed by a failed launch.
